The Dalek Scientist was a Dalek variant introduced in Doctor Who during the Eleventh Doctor's run. As part of the New Dalek Paradigm, it sported a bulkier mechanical shell than standard Daleks. Its livery was orange and it sported grey domes over its "skirt". It also featured the standard Dalek manipulator arm and blaster.
As their title would suggest, Dalek Scientists were tasked with carrying out scientific research. This could include analyzing spatial and temporal phenomena, experimentation on different life-forms and, of course, developing new technologies and weapons to further the Daleks' conquest of the universe.
