Cybermats are tiny cybernetic drones controlled by the Cybermen and have appeared in a few stories throughout Doctor Who. They have been described as "large silver rats" though they appear to more closely resemble silverfish. They have been used for a number of purposes over the years, such as enslaving human victims, poisoning human food supplies and even attacking people directly with a vicious electrical bite.
