Croctobot was a Super Badnik that appeared in Issues 160 and 161 of Archie Comics' Sonic the Hedgehog series. This robot was a fusion of Dr. Robotnik's robot sub-bosses Crocbot and Octobot, with Crocbot's upper body being fused to the top of Octobot's head.
History[]
On Sonic's birthday, Dr. Eggman sent the mercenaries Bean the Dynamite and Bark the Polar Bear to attack Freedom HQ. The two failed in their mission, being quickly subdued by the Freedom Fighters as well as Shadow the Hedgehog, who had only turned up to repay Sonic for helping him save the life of Hope Kintobor. After learning of the mercenaries' failure, Eggman launched a one-way transport pod to Freedom HQ, which opened to reveal Croctobot.
When Croctobot introduced himself expecting his foes to be terrified of him, Sonic just burst out laughing, calling the robot the "lamest Badnik ever". Enraged by Sonic's mockery, Croctobot attacked, only for Sonic to knock him out with one Spin Attack.
At this moment, Rouge the Bat and the newly-named Scourge the Hedgehog used Chaos Control to teleport to the party using the Master Emerald. Before Sonic and Scourge could start fighting, Croctobot woke up and entangled Sonic, Scourge and Shadow in its tentacles. Croctobot accused Shadow of not helping him (Shadow was working with the Eggman Empire at the time), saying that he would report Shadow as a traitor to Eggman, but Shadow responded simply "No. You won't." The three hedgehogs teamed up and ripped Croctobot apart with a succession of Spin Dashes, leaving nothing but scrap.
