Battle of London
The Battle of London was the final ground campaign of the Reaper War in Mass Effect 3. When Alliance forces made their landing in London's ruined streets, they were swiftly besieged by thousands of Reaper ground troops. The Alliance strike teams under the command of Admiral David Anderson amassed several armoured vehicles to cut a swath through the no-man's land in an effort to reach the Conduit transport beam that the Reapers were using to send humans - living and dead - to the Citadel for processing. The Conduit was protected by a Reaper Destroyer that easily repelled all conventional attacks, but Commander Shepard was able to disable the Destroyer by launching Thanix missiles into its main cannon's firing chamber. With its primary weapon destroyed, the Reaper was unable to protect itself effectively when Turian and Alliance fighters commenced their air strike.
Numerous Husks still protected the Conduit and the Alliance strike teams also had to contend with Harbinger. Harbinger used its superior firepower to obliterate most of the Alliance Hammer team, but a badly wounded Shepard was able to make it to the Conduit and board the Citadel in orbit.
